Ending Canada’s Invisible Epidemic: A Strategy for Injury Prevention provides a framework for a pan-Canadian injury prevention strategy. Published in 2005 as a result of a 24 month consultation process with stakeholders across Canada, the document outlines a strategy to reduce injuries based on six pillars: 1) national leadership and coordination, 2) an effective surveillance system, 3) research, 4) community supports and resources, 5) policy analysis and development, and 6) public information and education.
