An average of 25 Ontarians per month are hospitalized for injuries due to fires, with males most at risk. Fewer than a third of homes involved in fatal fires had working smoke alarms. Learn more about these injuries in this month’s Ontario Injury Compass. Please note, this will be the final Compass until further notice, as we work on a comprehensive injury data report for Ontario.
