Ned Levitt presented the injury prevention roadshow, SMARTRISK No Regrets Live, at his daughters’ former high school this week. SMARTRISK Board chairman Mr. Levitt has a deeply personal reason for his involvement with the national charity. He lost his 18-year-old daughter Stacey after she was hit by a car while out jogging and listening to music over headphones. Several media outlets covered Mr. Levitt’s story, as he was speaking just after a new U.S. study revealed that reports of serious injuries and deaths suffered by pedestrians wearing headphones have tripled over the last seven years.
