John Firstbrook, Rob Faulds, Paul Borg and Tom Turner pause for a photo during the 16th annual SMARTRISK Charity Golf Tournament, held June 22 at the Glencairn Golf Club. Golfers toughed it out through rain that was heavy at times to help SMARTRISK raise $55,000 towards programs that help youth learn to take smart risk and reduce injury.
An avid golfer himself, Rogers Sportsnet TV broadcaster Rob Faulds entertained fellow golfers as the evening’s master of ceremonies. Also highly entertaining was the professional auctioneer who conducted a lively auction of sports memorabilia, art, luxury furniture and golf and resort packages. In addition, four lucky golfers brought home big-screen TVs after a random draw.
SMARTRISK offers its sincere gratitude to the golfers, sponsors, donors and volunteers for helping to make the tournament a success. We are also very grateful to Tom Turner of Rogers Inc. for chairing the event for the second year running and to Rogers for its title sponsorship.
See below for a selection of photos from the day.
