Bat for SMARTRISK and win a World Series trip

July 12, 2010

State Farm’s and Major League Baseball’s 2010 Go To Bat program has selected SMARTRISK as one of the charities fans can support while aiming to win a trip for two to the 2010 World Series. Fans vote online for their selected charity and can play an online home run derby to increase the charity’s vote count.

To make it more enticing for participating voters to cheer on their favourite charity, State Farm will randomly select one winner each week to receive a trip for two to attend games three and four of the 2010 World Series. As well, State Farm will donate $100 for each home run hit in the League during that week to the charity the winning voter went to bat for, or up to $25,000. In addition, the charity that most fans go to bat for will also be awarded $25,000 at the end of the contest.

To be eligible to vote for your favourite charity, you must be 18 years old and a resident of the United States or Ontario, New Brunswick or Alberta.

The Go To Bat program begins July 12 and lasts through Sept. 26. Visit www.statefarm.com/gotobat to choose SMARTRISK (under the Public Benefit category) from a list that was determined by both State Farm and MLB. That counts as one vote. To gain more votes for SMARTRISK, you can play an online home run derby. Each virtual home run you score from 10 balls pitched counts as another vote. You may vote and play the online derby once per day.

We invite you to visit www.statefarm.com/gotobat and vote for SMARTRISK and play the online home run derby once per day. We wish you luck in winning tickets to the World Series!
