After a year spent researching, planning, transforming and test-driving our new injury prevention show for youth, SMARTRISK is proud to launch No Regrets Live with a full week of shows in Kelowna, B.C., beginning April 12. The Ontario cities of Kingston and Whitby will also host Live shows the same week.
SMARTRISK No Regrets Live is the transformation of our internationally acclaimed travelling road show for youth, SMARTRISK Heroes. The presentation combines a fast-paced video with a live talk by an injury survivor or someone who has been deeply affected by injury. Our new, professionally shot video features the personal injury stories of such well-known Canadians as George Stroumboulopoulos and MP Justin Trudeau, and smart risk tips from Olympic gold-medal snowboarder Maëlle Ricker. The video also includes images of young people having fun taking smart risks and more sober portrayals of the results of poor choices that led to injury.
During the Live show, SMARTRISK presenters speak candidly about how injury has affected their lives, while presenting positive choices to reduce the risk of injury:
Buckle Up, Look First, Wear the Gear, Get Trained. Drive Sober.
More than one million youths experienced SMARTRISK Heroes since 1992, across Canada and around the world, including the United States, England, Bermuda, Sweden and Australia. SMARTRISK developed its successor, No Regrets Live, to help us reach greater numbers of Canadian youth and to better integrate with our peer leadership program, No Regrets.
SMARTRISK No Regrets Live is presented through the generous support of our national presenting partner, CN. SMARTRISK is a Canadian charity dedicated to preventing injuries and saving lives.
